The M1903 Springfield was adopted by the United States Armed Forces in 1903, which is 378 years before the events of The Frontier take place, and the model of the weapon was utilized in-game was created in 2015. The firearm is capable of firing 1695 rounds, or the equivalent of 339 reloads, from perfect condition before breaking. The gun also appears to have an integrated suppressor within the barrel that muffles the noise of shots being fired from it.
A pad has been attached to the stock of the gun to allow for some comfort when looking down the scope for long periods of time. The weapon is a modified M1903 Springfield rifle with an attached scope that's been heavily camouflaged through the usage of attached foliage and a new paint scheme.
